1887 Born Sligo (death cert points to 1891, so he may have altered his age to appear younger). The press reports say he was from Sligo, and this man fits with the known siblings from Soldiers Effects

1915 enlisted. The inquest showed he had served 4 years with Connaught Rangers, of which 2.5 years was attached to Labour Corps. He does not appear to have served abroad, hence no MIC
