4681771 Private John Henry Groves 2nd Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry

I am not convinced that he was shot by IRA. There are no claims, and nothing in press to indicate a raid on Drogheda Castle. In addition he had a low key funeral - IRA victims tended to have full military honours. One would need to find the inquest to see what the verdice was at the time. I have put this down as an accident.
